Kana is the daughter of the local dojo's master. She lives alone with her father since her mother's death twelve years ago. On the outside, Kana appears to be a bit of a hot-head; but under her hard shell, she is a down-to-Earth person, fueled by her emotions. As much as she hates to admit it, she deeply misses her mother just as much as her father, who drinks himself into a stupor whenever the chance arrives.

Kana takes compliments as insults and shows aggression. A smoker for three years by age seventeen, her favorite place to get away is under the bridge crossing the town's river.
